Rumor has it that the Mirai corn should be making it’s first appearance of the season at the market this week!  Tip of the week – If you haven’t tried the crepes at the market – stop by for a late lunch or dinner – yum!  This is also the perfect week to get those knives/tools sharpened while you shop away downtown at the sales!!!

About the Market

The Barrington Farmers Market was started in 2000 by the Barrington Village Association (BVA), a homeowner’s group made up of residents living in the downtown Village area.  With the motto “Bringing Neighbors Together”, the Barrington Village Association has run the market with the objective of building community, adding to the character of our historic Village and increasing foot traffic in the downtown area.

With great food products and community involvement, the Farmers Market has turned out to be” the place to be” on Thursday during the summer & fall months.

The Barrington Farmers Market is managed by volunteers but is also assisted by the Village itself.  Special thanks goes out to the Village of Barrington Public Works and Police Department.  Our Farmers Market is a true “It takes a Village” project at work!

Barrington residents are committed to charitable giving and in keeping with this community value, we offer a non-profit booth at each market to keep guests up to date on happenings and ways to get involved.

This year we will offer guests the ability to help others by donating money at the market so that our local food pantries can offer Farmers Market gift certificates to those in need.

We hope you will join us on Thursdays for all the fun, community and great food!
